AGON

Agon is a game about ancient Greek heroes who fight monsters for the gods. All the players compete to win the most glory and end up with the best legend of their hero's achievements. It has a fast and fun battle system that can handle anything from a sword fight to a debate. If you like a little good-natured competition with your friends, and/or have a thing for spears, Agon is for you.

Semi-Official Rules Changes

These are some playtested rules changes that improve game play. Don't post one of these unless you're John.

• Position Winner :: A slight change to the position system.
• Divine Favor Recharge :: A new use for Fate.

Optional Rules

• Alternate Advantages :: A new way to handle Advantage dice
• Aristeia :: challenge to single combat - included in the GenCon rulebook, but removed for the second printing
• Tricks :: a generalization and replacement for Special Maneuvers
• Modified Refreshment :: slightly more complicated refreshment rules to promote variety and a little strategy
• Heroic Traits For Men :: an option for NPC humans
• One Shot Scoring :: make spending Fate in a one-shot a little more nerve racking
• Heroic Trait Construction Kit :: mix and match to create your own Heroic Traits
• Helping Traits Degrade Only on Success? - a variant rules suggestion
