Henri Pieter Gyroc was a serial killer in Amsterdam active in the early 60's. Remanded by the Consortium to undergo Doktor Oswald von Immelbach's Bakteriellblitz process, in the hopes of creating an agent able to counteract the nascent Super Culture? developing on Krakatoa.

Gyroc emerged with a symbiotic connection to the omni-capable bacterial lifeforms in the interior of the Earth; in practical terms, he could temporarily mimic the Meta Human? abilities of anyone near him. It did not take Gyroc long to discover that by drinking the spinal fluid of other Meta Humans? the transfer of power lasted much longer.

Over the next two decades, Gyroc became a terrifying figure... and increasingly unstable as his already deranged mind became further distraught by Immelbach's Fourth Reich brainwashing and the alien impressions triggered by his connection to the global bacterial network. His raid on Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in 1979 ended in the death the Freak, and his subsequent rampage alongside Lava Bomb? left dozens of corpses in its wake.

Gyroc was eventually recruited by the Moons Of Jupiter? during the Invasion Of 1992?, but was finally apprehended by Evelyn Deitrich and the Avatar. He has been put into custody at Utopia Mills?, the criminal anti-prison counterpart to Camp Paragon. At age 75 he remains one of the world's most dangerous, twisted men, but seldom emerges from the trance of Opium X?.
