Zolobachai of the Nine Visions is a Maldorite wizard who hopes to recover the magical lore that was lost during the dissolution of the Three-Corner Academy. He hopes to resurrect the Academy by gathering up all its scattered disciples, and then rehabilitate magic's reputation by healing the woes of Maldor. He travels around in a wagon pulled by a team of donkeys, earning a living as a soothsayer until he can make his dream a reality.
In this travels Arnold thwarted a Shadow Cult warlock, who was eventually burned at the stake. The warlock's mate, a witch of considerable power, cursed Arnold with sexual impotence until he can affect a cure through some magical process. He's been wearing a charm to protect himself against her further mischief.
In person, "Zolobachai" is a pudgy little guy named Arnold who has receding brown hair and bunions on his feet. But when decked out in his full wizard's regalia he is a sight to behold: crimson robes covered in glittering runes, pouches full of herbal odors, wicker cages full of squawking squirming beasts of good omen, and so on.
