Yelmalio is the primary god of the Solar Pantheon. Long ago, the primary god was Yelm, the Yellow Emperor, the sun. After the sun was stricken from the sky by Orlanth and darkness fell, Yelmalio rose from hell. He is both Yelm and the son of Yelm. It's confusing.

He is a fierce warrior god.

Popular mythology in the wake of the Lunar assimilation of Yelmic peoples is that Yelmalio is brother to Sedenya?, the Red Moon Goddess.
