Within the Big Model, a game design with features that attempt to support contradictory creative agendas* -- but which is easily correctable by ignoring or altering isolated portions of the rules (minor Drift). For example, the GM fudges a bit or rules are conveniently ignored in favor of the flow of play, and things work fine. Considered a minor form of Incoherence. *Typically this is because the rules do not strongly support any one mode of CA. That is, the game may seem "abashed" about supporting any mode, or the mode that the text may indicate that the game is to support. Since there's not much support for any one mode, the required Drift is typically additive. References: |
