I think, assuming that Birdwell Island is a Chancel (which is clearly is, otherwise all the mortals would have gone insane by now), Emily Elizabeth must be the Imperator.

I’ve tried to work it with her as a Noble and Clifford as her anchor, but it just doesn’t work, since he’s got like… three anchors himself.

So she’s the Imperator. Obviously aligned with the Light — no one else could be that positive.

Obviously it's Clifford et al. who are the Nobles. Noble of Big-Heartedness, Noble of Vanity (Cleo), Noble of Goofiness (T-Bone) ... they're all there.

And just think about the song.

Clifford needed Emily, so she chose him for her own, And her love made Clifford grow so big that the Howards had to leave their home.

"Clifford needed Emily, so she chose him for her own. Her love made Clifford grow so big ..." -- sounds pretty enNobling to me. And, of course, he's Emily's favorite, utterly loyal -- "he's there when you call."

Yeah ... it all makes sense now. More sense that it made before, at least.
